| Dealing with the study of the oyster stocks in Marennes Oleron basin, a method is set up to study oystr origin. Various collectors, factory-made or hand-made (about 90% of the whole) are described. Technical evolution, bound to the importance of potential catching in three concerned districts depands on the catching ability of the different types of collectors. The catching, achieved in the Seudre river, represents nearly 1 400 million units, wich is a theorical potentail quantity of 30 000 tons of adults oysters |
